Weekly Bible Study
Service means we are committed to serving others as Jesus called and exemplified. Our service is a response as we look at what we do. This is not about salvation; it is about our response to God. This is about duty; it is about allowing our love for the Lord to backwash us, that is, to flow in us from Him and then to others around us. Service builds and prepares us to be stronger in character and in fulfilling our responsibility for His Kingdom. Service also nurtures and strengthens us as a means of grace; as we grow, we serve. The more we serve, the more Christ-like we become. The essentials in Developing your Walk with God!
Understand
your GOAL. Your goal is to become complete in Christ, (Col. 1: 28), or to say
it another way, to become a mature person, i.e. a person whose attitudes and
actions are like Christ's. (Eph. 4: 13) More new ones at http://acts29.org/
Monthly Bible Study Article
Jesus conceals truth for us, not 'from' us! There are two main conceptions in what and why Jesus uses parables in edifying and instructing us. One, He uses simple everyday illustrations, allegories, stories, and word pictures that He pointed to, showcasing an illustration that people could understand and relate to. Second, in the illustration dwells a layered meaning-like an onion, if you will--that has a depth to it. His main reason? People, for the most part, are 'concrete' thinkers. We tend to look to the simplest, easiest meaning to mentally digest solution and rarely seek a deeper meaning or application. However, to grow in faith, we need to grow beyond ourselves, our perception, and our assumptions in order to grasp the true Truths Christ has for us. Thus, for us to grow in faith... Do not allow anything or anyone to come between you and
Christ!

Please keep in mind and prayer that we and our ministry are in need! We are experiencing our own recession, but we are trusting in God's provisions and blessings as we seek to know and serve Him better. Church Leadership and
Prayer Tip of the Week Ideas to
consider: (Romans 12:18 ; 14:18 -19; Ephesians 4:3; Hebrews
12:14 ) Preach holiness, how to worship, how to deal with sin, how to relate to one
another, and how to love one another, while modeling it yourself! Evangelism,
stewardship, and discipleship come out of these! As people are transformed, they
can be taught and motivated. (Jeremiah 33:6; Romans 7:12; Galatians 3)
Pray that your Church leaders and Pastors
families will be cared for and respected and receive good consideration, so
they can grow too, as they are usually misunderstood, under-appreciated,
ignored or overworked. Pray that all the staff be committed to their families
with authentic love and care, that they will be strong and learn in the midst
of trials, that their homes are a refuge and haven of rest and they are not
condescending or withdrawing from their own families (Psalm 91:9-15; Phil.
4:19; 1 Peter 2:23).
There is no question - we are serving our Lord Jesus Christ because of your prayers, support and partnership, Thank-You! We need your help!
We have a $150K shortfall, and we need your partnership to make
