The Role, Person, and Work of the Holy Spirit

The essential topic of who and what the Holy Spirit or Holy Ghost is, His power, impact, and role in the universe and in our lives, along with why we need to know this has been a hot and abused subject matter during the last several decades. The third Person of the Godhead, the Trinity, has been ignored by some and overly abused and misunderstood by most.

We must realize that our being one will take looking to the Lord for help. There will be problems of coordination which must be worked out with patience, with being servants to each other. This will not happen automatically. It will take conscious thought, prayer, and a realistic love not to let our egotisms spoil that which God has given us. I would just say to you there are going to be months, there are going to be times, that you are consciously going to have to realize that there are things that have be worked out in love, and it is imperative that as these things are worked out that the things of personal egotism and personal preference which is not principle would not spoil that which God has given us.

This may sound strange, but this article was originally a funeral sermon. This is about the legacy we leave when we pass on, into heaven and God's wonders, rest, and rewards-how we live and then hand down hope by the way we lived and how we touched others. The Bible is the most important and essential book in history because it is God's Word and His revelation of Himself, His precepts and His purpose for our lives. As a Christian you cannot and must not function without it! Here is a Bible reading plan to help you discover the Bible's full message in a good systematic way. With this plan you can read the entire Bible, all 66 books, the entire Old Testament once and the New Testament twice in one year! An average reader can do this in less than a half an hour each day, most in 20 minutes. This is a similar plan as the ever so popular "One Year Bible" by Tyndale, which we also highly recommend. We recommend the NIV or the NLT (reads faster) for this plan.

Here is a Bible reading plan that is set up for you to go through the Bible in a year. But with a twist: It divides up your reading into the main types of Genres (literature) such as Gospels, Law, Narrative (History), Psalms, Poetry, Prophecy, and Epistles!
