We at ITW are deeply moved and further inspired by one of our mentors and innovators without we would not exist as a mission, Dr. Ralph Winter. He was a personal friend of mine and mentor of our ministry. We both served at the same church, and he helped us get formed as a mission organization, connected and brainstormed us into being to use our inductive resources to train pastors overseas. He passed away to Glory on May 20th. He will be remembered for his visionary work for missions, probably the person who has impacted the world for missions more than any other leader of his time. His memorial service was held at my church last night, June 28, over 4,000 people attended, including the top key Christian leaders of our time, like Rick Warren and John Piper who gave elegies. Just about every leading person of a seminary, mission organization or key leader in Christendom was there. Because, Dr. Winter has had perhaps more influence and vision on God's people than just about any person in the 20th Century. Perhaps he and Francis Schaeffer along with C.S. Lewis, then the others are miles apart. He will be greatly missed, thank-you Ralph for your friendship, insights and even allowing me to teach your Sunday School class more times than I should have, your shoes are way too big for me… Richard

You help those in ministry who have no means to go to higher education or receive seminary level educational resources or the means to pastor their flock effectively. A pastor in Central Asia who makes a mere $60 a month can have access to a library of solid biblical resources, sermons and studies as well as practical effectual help to lead and manage their church. You help a person who wants to be a pastor to be trained, such as how to exegete Scripture, prepare sermons and how to grow themselves and their flock in Christ. Thus, you help people like Pastor Narula to not take the limited money to feed his family and divert it to feed his church, now he can do both. You help Pastor Sanjiv to spend the time to council and help his people because we help him administer his church. You help a young man named Babu prepare to become a pastor. You help us stay in full time ministry ministering to over 10,000 pastors worldwide (this does not even include the 5,000 people who use our web resources each day!)!

Church Growth Tip of the Week
Pastors, who are real, and authentic, lead healthy churches. This builds trust. Real, authentic leaders will never grandstand, make up problems, or blame others, but will take responsibility, and tell their stories honestly. In wisdom, they will disclose truth, tempered with listening. Be open, and encourage the other leaders to do so too. Authentic leaders can be vulnerable and sensitive at the right times in the right places, and yet wise enough not to give out too much so as to be perceived as week and needy. Real Christians will forgive you for your mistakes when you are honest! (Acts; James 5:16; 1 John 1:8-10)
Prayer Guide for your Church and Pastor!
Pray for healing, forgiveness, and reconciliation for any misplaced expectations, criticism, ungrateful attitudes, flawed thinking, grief, hurts, or abuse (Isa. 61:3; Mark 11:22-24, 2 Cor. 10:3-5; Eph. 4:32-5:1; Phil. 4:19).
