We hear from a lot of people who
are concerned over Calvinism and whether we are Calvinistic or not. Then, we
get an ear full of retorts to presumptions of what we teach. Much of what is
sent in is not based on facts or Scripture; rather assumptions and feelings. We
respect theologians on both sides of the fence in this issue. We at ITW we work
with many Christian groups all over the world. And, even though we are Reformed,
we are about Honoring our Lord first and giving Him Glory foremost. This is what
we should all agree upon! In fact, we are an 'Inductive Ministry,' that means
we believe and adhere to what the Bible clearly teaches from the contexts of
the passages and the actual meanings of the words. And thus, we teach only what
the Bible clearly says, and when there is disagreement, we give you the main views,
like what we did with Revelation, all four views side by side, so you can see
for yourself. Accordingly, we follow the teachings of the Bible that so happens to fit with a lot of what John Calvin also taught and pointed us too. We do not follow a man or a theological system; we follow our Lord and appreciate Calvin and the other Reformers like Luther to awaking us to the logical teachings of the Scriptures.
Our response to
the objections to Calvinism is simple, read the Bible and look to the Book, not
to the man. We carefully prepared this article as a summary to what are the
main points of Calvinism, the main objections and most importantly the passages.
So, you can see what the Bible clearly teaches for yourself. No interpretations
is needed, the Bible says what it means and means what it says, as long as we
are honest to the Text. Weekly Bible Study

A lot of Christians have the false presumption that discipling means we should make people like us or have them conform to our specific church, denomination, or system of belief. More new ones at http//acts29.org/

As I have visited countless
churches across the country and world over the years as a consultant, it seems
through my observations that churches are adding more worship time and taking
away prayer from their services. They forgot that prayer is the highest and
purest form of worship that we can do. Celebrating our Lord through music is
very important, but prayer is the essential act of worship. It is like putting
on a light sweater on a cold day, when we should have put on a coat. The sweater
may look better, so we replace the 'real' need for the looks good 'felt' need.
Missing the very point of keeping warm when it is cold. We are missing the point
of worship when we cancel or reduce prayer. We are making a sandwich with great
home baked bread and all of the condiments but with no lunch meat. Leaving
prayer out of the church service is leaving out the meat.

Please keep in mind and prayer that we and our ministry are in need! We are experiencing our own recession, but we are trusting in God's provisions and blessings as we seek to know and serve Him better. Church Leadership and
Prayer Tip of the Week Ideas to
consider: (Romans 12:18 ; 14:18 -19; Ephesians 4:3; Hebrews
12:14 )
Confront sin, evil, and heresy in the church immediately! The leadership must
put down conflict quickly, whether it involves political agendas, the color of
the carpet, how to say an offertory prayer, what songs to sing, or who is to be
in leadership. The church must move in purpose and unity. This is tough, but
possible! (Philippians 2:14)Confront sin, evil, and heresy in the church immediately! The leadership must

Pray that your church commits to a
healthy understanding, wisdom, and accounting and handling of its stewardship
and finances to better receive God's blessings (Prov. 3:9-10; 1 Cor. 9:15-18).
