The Christmas story is about Christ, that He is unique, He was not just born; He came into our world. He was birthed, as the 'Preincarnate' Eternal God, the Lord and Creator of time, matter and life, who came to us as a man--as a meek and mild baby, no less! The Virgin Birth shows us how Jesus was brought into this world as any baby would be; with the extreme exception that Mary did not have sexual relations to conceive Him! Jesus was conceived by the Holy Spirit, He is pre-existent, and He is sinless. Immanuel is not just a Christmas decoration or a theological construct; rather, it is about Who and What Jesus does for us. In our trials and troubles, in our hopelessness and confusion and most importantly in our sins that separates us from God for eternity, Jesus SAVES us. He comes to us with undeserved Salvation for eternity and real hope for today, He is unlike any deity or god of any other religion or thought, He is God and He is with us. Immanuel is not just a Christmas decoration or a theological construct; rather, it is about Who and What Jesus does for us. More here: Seasonal Bible Studies Weekly Bible Study

Lordship and holy living is not forced upon us. We are not adhering to a religion, but a relationship with our Lord! Holy living comes from a life that is transformed and renewed by what Christ has done for us! We can't mature in the faith by punishing ourselves, or seeking mystic or special revelations; rather it is about knowing, trusting, and obeying Christ as LORD, realizing Who He is and what He has done for us and then responding in kind by our gratitude, trust, and obedience. The growing popular notion that we can do as we please since we are in Christ is purely wrong. This now becomes a form of relativism. Such thinking and behavior equates a life that is meaningless and produces little to no fruit (Rom. 12; Col. 4:7-18). More here: http://www.churchleadership.org/ Opportunities to
